     Artizen HDR has significantly extended it's ability to save your images. This includes a new interface and the introduction of wide selection of file formats. With the new version you have you now have 4 options on how to save your work.

  • File | Save: Is used for files that have already been opened or a file already save using Save As...
  • File | Save As... : Is used on files that you would like to either change the files name or format.
  • File | Save for Web...: It allows users to create graphical images that would be used for web page layouts. This is accomplished by saving your image into an "images" folder, automatically generating lean quick downloadable web pages. In addition to this, Artizen also allows users to determine how they would like to slice the image up for faster downloading.
  • File | Export Preview...: Has been updated significantly to support better image previewing and support for addition file formats.

<Save for Web>

     Once you have create the type of web image you would like to use as either a Navigation Bar or as a Splash Image it is a good idea to save your image to the Artizen file format (*.arti), so that you never lose you original image. Once you have done that you can select File | Save for Web.... This opens up the window shown below, which allows users to preview the image and perform basic HTML  creation options or Create Full DHTML pages with mouseover, mousedown, and mousedown functions for selected image slices.

<Document Meta Tags>

  • Filename:  The name of the Web Page created.
  • Title: The Title shown across the Browser Form Bar.
  • Keywords: For search engines to better categories you site.
  • Description: For search engines to better categories you site.
  • Active Server Page/HTML Document: Determines the type of page to produce.

<Interface>

  • Hyperlink: allows users to select a slice and then add, delete or update a hyperlink.
  • MouseOver: allows users to select an existing file to be displayed when an Internet user moves their mouse over the image slice.
  • MouseDown: allows users to select an existing file to be displayed when an Internet user clicks a the image slice.

<Image Slicing>

  • Select Format...: Determines the file format your final image will be written in.
  • Select Slicing...: Speeds up page download by selecting the number of pieces you want your image to be sliced into.
  • Vertical Slices: The type of image slices.
  • Horizontal Slices: The type of image slices.
  • Preview: Shows how your image will be sliced and when you select one of these slices it is highlighted in red.

<File Export>

     The ability for graphic image editors to save image in a variety of file formats is vital to ensure that your designs can be used by other applications. The new Exporting tool in Artizen has greatly expanded this capability by ensuring that users can save their image in either JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TGA, TIF, ICO, WBMP, BMP and ARTI formats.

<Export File Format>

  • File Format:  Determine the file format your final image will be written in.
  • Web Safe Colors: Performs a Web Safe Color Filter on the image before saving it.
  • CMYK Print Safe Colors: Performs a CMYK Print Safe Color Filter on the image before saving it.

<ICON Options>

  • Transparent: Determines if your Icon image will have a transparent color.
  • Color: Determines the transparent color.

<JPEG Options>

  • Quality Value:
  • Grayscale: Applies a Grayscale filter before saving the final image.
  • Progressive: Optimizes the output, but is not supported by all applications.

<Additional Information>

  • File Size: Displays the final file size output.
  • Width: Displays the final file width.
  • Height: Displays the final file height.
  • Transfer Time: Displays the approx. time for downloading, which is dependant on the transfer speed selected.
